Aaron Bullington, LMP – Core Instructor

Drake Ewing, L.Ac.

Drake earned a Masters degree from Bastyr University and is licensed to practice acupuncture in Washington. He is certified as an acupuncture detoxification specialist and has spent time studying and honing his skills in China. His reflexology training began seven years ago and he has been teaching over the last four. Drake uses a fun and dynamic style when he teaches and his goal is simple, “to make the information useful and usable”. He strives to ensure that each student understands the material and learns the techniques, thereby building confidence in themselves and their ability.

Mona Fahoum, ND – Core Instructor

As a naturopathic family practitioner, Dr. Mona’s interests and specialties include homeopathy, diet and nutrition, botanical medicine and physical medicine. She views healing as a dynamic process, unique to each person, with different treatments appropriate for different patients. These philosophies allow Dr. Mona the flexibility to move between modalities in treating illnesses from the common cold to diabetes, hypertension and chronic disease as well as equipping patients for disease prevention and optimal well-being.

Emily Goldstein, MSPT

Anatomy and Physiology instructor, Emily Goldstein has an undergraduate degree in Exercise Science from Oregon State University. Her BS degree led her to physical therapy school at the University of Miami where she obtained and MSPT degree in 1998. As a physical therapist Emily spent most of her career treating preschool-ages children with disabilities. Her work with children gave her a great deal of experience with pathology and musculoskeletal dysfunction. In the classroom at Northwest Academy, Emily hopes to give all future massage practitioners a solid understanding of human body systems and pathologies. As an instructor she aims to be approachable and stay flexible with students as they further their knowledge of the scientific basis for human function.

Jennifer Kuduk, LMP – Core Instructor

Jennifer is a Minnesota native who attended the University of Minnesota and graduated with a BA in Psychology & Art History. During her college years, she worked at various physical therapy clinics, eventually becoming a fitness trainer. At 27, she received her first massage and loved it so much she was inspired to pursue a career in it. Since Minnesota didn’t have many massage schools at the time, Jen searched for schools in the Northwest. She found a perfect fit at Seattle Massage School, where she graduated with honors in 1997. Sean Miller, LMP, D. Hom – Core Instructor

As a holistic healthcare practitioner and educator, Sean specializes in manual therapies and flower essence homeopathy, with a demographical emphasis on pain management, rehabilitation, and injury prevention. Sean utilizes an integrative approach to healing musculoskeletal pain, believing that the body and mind must be in complete balance for patients to fully heal from pain and trauma.These theories are reflected in Sean’s private practice as well as his classroom with a uniquely energetic and integrated teaching style creating a welcoming learning environment in which to grow.

Susan Mueller, ND – Core Instructor

As a 1992 graduate of Brian Utting Massage School and a 2010 graduate of Bastyr University, I appreciate the immeasurable value of a teacher who can inspire and entertain as well as educate, which are my goals in the classroom. Kaysie Noll, LMP, DOULA – Core Instructor

Kaysie Noll is a Licensed Massage Practitioner, DOULA and educator from Seattle, Washington.  She got her massage education at Seattle Massage School in 1997, her DOULA training from Seattle Midwifery the same year and then received her Pre-Perinatal Massage Certification in 1998.  She has a thriving clinical practice in North Seattle, providing pre-natal massage therapy, specializing in “high risk” pregnancies, injury treatment and recovery as well as working with clients of all ages and stages of health and wellness.  In addition, as a DOULA she offers labor and delivery support to her clients who are receiving pregnancy massage. Eric Rabinowitz, LMP, RMT – Core Instructor

Eric started massage school at age 50, after working for over 20 years as a cartographer. He was so inspired after graduating from Ashmead College School of Massage in Seattle, that he soon enrolled in a 2-1/2 year program in New Westminster, BC. Now licensed in both Washington and British Columbia, his passions are kinesiology, pathology, and getting the students excited about the ways massage therapy can improve peoples’ lives. Eric is famous in the Northwest Academy community for teaching the students a song about the muscles of the scapula. Currently teaching Kinesiology and Student Clinic, Eric has previously taught Pathology, Bodywork Explorations, and frequently substitutes in Anatomy and Physiology.

Mary Wiener, MPT, BS – Core Instructor

A career in physical therapy with a focus on Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS) has brought Mary to the world of education. Mary has provided clinical and community presentations on ALS across Washington State. Her work with The ALS Association Evergreen Chapter from 2000-2007 included support group facilitation, home accessibility assessments, body mechanics instruction, and durable medical equipment resourcing. In the classroom, Mary pursues a collaborative experience. She supports students with realistic expectations for balancing relationships, personal care and the demands of school.
