Jennifer is a Minnesota native who attended the University of Minnesota and graduated with a BA in Psychology & Art History. During her college years, she worked at various physical therapy clinics, eventually becoming a fitness trainer. At 27, she received her first massage and loved it so much she was inspired to pursue a career in it. Since Minnesota didn’t have many massage schools at the time, Jen searched for schools in the Northwest. She found a perfect fit at Seattle Massage School, where she graduated with honors in 1997. After graduation, she stayed involved with the school, first as a tutor, then an examiner and ultimately a kinesiology instructor. She started her own massage practice in 2001, specializing in medical treatment massage. Her treatment expertise includes fibromyalgia & chronic pain, sports injuries, stress related issues, pregnancy, repetitive stress and accident injuries, etc. She is very excited to be teaching kinesiology again for Northwest Academy and enjoys finding new and creative ways to teach students about the fascinating world of muscles and bones.
